Baby injured in shooting

An eight-month-old baby and three men were injured during a crossfire on Friday 17 May in Tafelsig.

According to a statement by Mitchell’s Plain police, the baby was shot in her left foot.

One of the victims, a 40-year-old man, was shot in his left foot, while a 41-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his lower back and left shoulder. The third victim (42) was shot in his right foot. They were all taken to the hospital.

The police attended to a complaint of shooting at 10:20 at the corner of Hartebees and Gazelle Street in Eastridge. No arrests have been made yet.
