Bed shop owner robbed in own store

The owner of a local bed shop was robbed on Main Road, Plumstead on Tuesday last week.

Diep River police spokesperson Constable Zak Marais says two men entered the store and tied up the owner and demanded cash.

Two cellphones belonging to the owner and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen.

No shots were fired and no-one was injured. A case of business robbery is being investigated by police.
