Strandfontein police continue their fight against crime and drugs.

On Monday last week officers confiscated drugs and arrested a 30-year-old woman at an alleged drug house in Ketch Street.

At about 22:00 officers received information that drugs were being sold from the premises. Upon their arrival the officers searched the suspect and found nine packets of tik, 20 units of heroin and 16 half mandrax tablets in her possession.

The officers also confiscated two tik lollies when they searched two suspects at the same address. Both men, aged 30 and 35, were arrested.

All three suspects are set to appear in court on charges relating possession of drugs.

Police are also engaging with neighbourhood watches whilst patrolling in their respective areas.

Street committees are actively involved in the continuous fight against crime.

Community Police Forum chairperson, Sandy Schuter, says: “The officers at Strandfontein police work equally hard, under exhausting circumstances, with a brilliant leader that’s leading the station. They have supported us in everything we do. We all want a drug and gang free Strandfontein, but it takes a collective participation from the community and various other Law Enforcement Agencies and our Justice Department,” she says.
