Business possibilities for locals

Martin & East was awarded the contract for the construction of the Phase 2A trunk infrastructure in Jan Smuts Drive from Turf Hall Road to Govan Mbeki Road.

The project, as confirmed by the City of Cape Town’s Transport and Urban Development Authority (TDA), has reached the stage where there are possibilities for local individuals and businesses to get involved by providing services or products to Martin & East.

Residents in and around Lansdowne, Hanover Park and Manenberg will qualify as they hail from the area, in the specific wards of 60, 48, 47 and 46.

Certain basic criteria will need to be met by interested parties. Further details on these requirements can be obtained from Martin & East’s site offices located at 21 Polaris Road, Lansdowne.

Parties who meet the basic requirements will be able to quote on the provision of the below-mentioned services and products, which include security on site, supply of building materials, supply and installation of E1 concrete edgings, transport of materials on site and spoils off site, construction of 100mm thick G5 layer to sidewalks, construction of stormwater manholes and catch pits, construction of paving and grass blocks, supply and installation of gabions and vibracrete fencing, installation of street furniture, formwork and steel fixing and line painting.
