Career day for youth

2016-06-14 06:00

Young people who are considering career choices are invited to visit a Career Day on Saturday 18 June.

The Maitland Community Police Forum will be hosting the event at Maitland High School starting at 09:00 to 14:00.

Justin Kumlehn from the CPF explained that they have invited a number of businesses and services to set up stands (People’s Post will also be there).

“We want to give the youth in our community the opportunity to start thinking about their lives after school,” he says.

“It is also going to be a fund day for them where they can find out about careers in the police, traffic department, pathology services as well as a variety of other career and educational options.

“There will also be some interesting guest speakers to motivate and inspire them.”
