The sensational magician, global television star and acclaimed stage performer, Dynamo, will be in Cape Town for the first time ever, at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 May, with his Seeing is Believing Live South African Tour.

After the hit television series, Magician Impossible, Dynamo’s Seeing is Believing stage show quickly went from what was supposed to be a 10-date run, to a year-long world tour with 127 shows. Dynamo’s Seeing is Believing went on to sell over 600 000 tickets, making it one of the largest scale magic shows in the world.

“This amazing, international magician has accomplished some of the most incredible feats,” says Elouise Matthys, PR and promotions manager at GrandWest. “He has walked across the Thames River, walked down the outside of the LA Times building and levitated in front of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio. He is a global television star and an award-winning magician. We are very excited to have him at GrandWest. This is one of the biggest shows of the year so if you are interested in seeing him, you should book your tickets as soon as possible.”

Much like Blaine did for his generation in the 90s and David Copperfield in the 80s, Dynamo has redefined the shape of modern magic for the millennials. With his unique approach to large-scale illusion, his big stunts are never pre-publicised and always use well-known landmarks as their backdrop. This has allowed him to connect with young people and re-energise the fascinating illusionist genre.

Tickets from R375 are available from Computicket. Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts at 20:00 on both evenings. There is a matinee performance on Saturday 19 May starting at 15:00 (doors open at 14:00).
