Around 160 people from the Tafelsig area enjoyed a special lunch in celebration of the day of love.

Last week the group joined Mogamad de Villiers, community worker and event organiser from Tafelsig, for lunch, snacks and a day filled with entertainment, friendship and love.

The dress code encouraged the residents to dress in their best shades of red and white to mark Valentine’s Day.

The event took place at the Mitchell’s Heights Primary School hall on Saturday 17 February. The residents were handpicked by De Villiers to enjoy the lunch and entertainment for the day.

“We did this to give back to the community of Tafelsig and surrounds,” says De villiers. “We do this annually and this is the fourth year that we are hosting the event.”
