Check out ideas for bridges

2017-03-07 06:01

The proposals for the areas under the unfinished bridges in the foreshore are on display.

The exhibition, opened yesterday, follows a call to the private sector to submit proposals for the unfinished bridges.

The City of Cape Town will use the City-owned land beneath the unfinished bridges for development, and part of the conditions for the development proposals are that they must alleviate congestion and provide affordable, inclusive housing in the city centre.

The City has received six proposals which will be exhibited at the Civic Centre for the public to view.

The display is on the second floor in the podium block of the Civic Centre until Saturday and from Monday 13 to Tuesday 21 March between 08:30 and 16:00. On Sunday 19 March, MyCiTi buses will be free of charge for the public to visit the exhibition.
