City upgrades

2018-03-20 06:00

The City of Cape Town’s Health Directorate is currently upgrading the Newfields satellite clinic. Work on the clinic started on Thursday 25 January. It is expected to be completed by the end of this month at a cost of R175 000.

The upgrade will include a new reception area and records room, new staff and patient toilets, additional consulting rooms, porcelain floor tiles throughout the clinic, and the interior and exterior painting of the entire clinic. The clinic will operate every Wednesday from 13:00 to 16:00.

“Satellite clinics such as the Newfields clinic ensure a greater level of personal attention and allow for the improved specialisation of services. These services include children’s health, women’s health and HIV counselling and testing,” says Mayco member (Central) Siyabulela Mamkeli.
