The Lilliput Children’s Theatre Company will perform one of their most popular shows, Red Riding Hood from Wednesday 26 June to Saturday 6 July at 10:30.

The show is the perfect holiday entertainment for the whole family and will take place at the Nassau Theatre at Groote Schuur High School, Palmyra Road in Newlands. Red Riding Hood, a delightful fairytale follows the story of the naughty little girl who disobeys her mother.

Instead of taking the safe road to visit her granny, she goes into the woods where she encounters a big bad wolf (in this adaptation a rather silly Loopy-de-Loop type who is an ex Music-Hall star).

Red Riding Hood learns some important lessons along the way.

This show is filled with audience participation and sing-along songs. The show is 40 minutes and a fairytale classic with a happy ending, where everyone lives happily ever after.

Red Riding Hood is adapted and directed by Elton John Duffy, from Edgemead, who has been producing Children’s Theatre and delighting audiences for the past 26 years.

This show stars Niki Ricardo, from Constantia as Granny and Red Riding Hood’s Mother, Dean Van Der Ventel, from Goodwood as the Big Bad Wolf, Almar Muller, from Claremont as the Woodcutter and Desle Mc Conney from Athlone as Red Riding Hood.

Tickets are R85 per person and bookings can be made at any Computicket outlet, online or at Shoprite or Checkers stores.
