On Tuesday 14 June at 09:45 Lentegeur Police received a complaint of a business robbery that occurred at Truworths in Westgate Mall.

A speedy response by police and good information received at the scene led officers to Eastridge where they arrested a 33-year-old man in Elephant Street.

All the stolen clothing was recovered.

It is alleged suspects entered the store and started packing clothes inside bags when an employee approached them asking what they were doing.

They then pulled out a firearm and told the employee to be quiet, then fled the scene.

No shots were fired on the scene and no injuries were reported.

The man will soon appear in court on a charge of robbery.
