Residents of Morgens Village took the first step in taking back their streets last week through forming a neighbourhood watch. On Thursday 25 July, ward 75 councillor Joan Woodman and the Lentegeur Community Policing Forum (CPF) chairperson, Byron de Villiers were among those who attended the meeting. Five executive committee members were elected to lead the organisation. Woodman congratulated the committee on their appointments. “We wish them well as they take the first step in the right direction in eradicating crime from their area by creating safer communities as they take back their streets – together we can,” said Woodman.
