More than 100 units of drugs were confiscated in Beacon Valley on Saturday 16 September.

Police officers were on patrol in Ferrari Street at 17:30 when they spotted a suspicious-looking man.

The man fled when seeing the police van and the officers gave chase. Once caught, the man was searched. Police found 46 mandrax tablets, eight half tablets of mandrax and 50 straws of heroin in his possession.

The 34-year-old man was arrested and has appeared in court.
