A 55-year-old man was arrested during a heroin bust on Monday last week.

The Lentegeur police crime prevention unit was busy with crime prevention duties in the Lentegeur area, when they received a complaint about a home in Salvia Street at 19:30. On arrival they found the front door open and saw a man dropping a plastic bag on the floor.

Officers then looked inside the bag and found 100 units of heroin with an estimated street value of R3000.

The 55-year-old man was arrested on a charge of drug possession.
