Cape Town Central police officers have been honoured for their long service.
During a ceremony on Tuesday morning, Cape Town Central Police Station commander, Brigadier Hansia Hansraj, handed over medals to police officers.
Sector 3 manager, Sergeant Hein Pommer, was awarded a medal for 10 years of service, while Warrant Officer Abraham Farao, Vispol support head Lieutenant Colonel Andre Coetzee and Captain Gavin Haupt received medals for 20 years of service.
Those awarded for 30 years of service were Captain Franz Gerner, Warrant Officer Carl Smit and Captain Armand Brink.
Vispol head commander, Colonel Andre Roziers, was awarded a Centenary Medal, as was court manager Henk Fourie.
