An LSD dealer was tripped up when he was busted by a new police task team in Woodstock on Monday (15 May).

According to a report by the newly established Cape Town Cluster Task Team, a 29-year-old man was arrested in Goldsmith Road shortly after 14:00.

Police spokesperson, Constable Lorencial Johnson, says officers searched the man’s home following a tip-off about drug dealing at the property.

During the search, officers discovered materials used to package drugs and 84 LSD stamps with an estimated street value of R16 450.

The alleged dealer will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court today (Tuesday 16 May) on drug dealing charges.
