2016-04-12 06:00

The Diep River police have had a breakthrough in a case which has led to two arrests.

Two suspects were identified in connection with a murder at a residence in Victoria Road in Plumstead during December 2015.

Both suspects were identified shortly after the murder. Through thorough and timely investigation they were eventually arrested on charges of murder, house break-in, robbery and possession of stolen goods.

The dedication and long hours of the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Arnold Bosch, finally paid off and the suspects confessed.

Diep River police spokesperson Warrant Officer Keith Chandler thanked the community for the information received in this investigation which led to the arrest.

He also thanked the family of the deceased for keeping faith in police procedures and being patient to await the outcome.

The suspects appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
