Officers of the Cape Town Cluster task team raided a property in the CBD and confiscated crayfish.

According to the task team spokesperson, Constable Lorencial Johnson, the raid  followed a tip-off about the illegal sale of crayfish in Shortmarket Street, Bo-Kaap.

He says officers raided the property on Tuesday 23 May and arrested a 26-year-old man found in possession of 257 crayfish tails with an estimated street value of R128 500.

The man will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court today (24 May).
