“The project timeline was confirmed to the residents in a public meeting. They know exactly where we stand as it was explained to them. Things don’t happen overnight and a lot still needs to be done before people get the serviced plots,” she saysGordon adds that she can’t say when exactly things will be done. “We have to apply for different things before we start work on the ground. We have applied for the water licence and the environmental assessment. These things take time and I can say we will have our applications approved in a month or two, then we will start work. “If that time lapses and we don’t have the applications approved yet, you know what will happen – guess what the community will do. All these things have been explained.“However, while we are waiting for that, we are not just sitting and waiting. We have planned for other development in the area. The people wanted a soccer and leisure area. We are working on that. What we are saying to the people is be patient, we are bring services to you. It’s a holistic approach and all will be done to address everything,” says Gordon.
