V Tafelsig: Officers of the Western Cape Flying Squad followed up on the information about drugs being kept at a house in Tafelsig and at 00:50 on Thursday 3 May the officers found two bags of heroin with a total weight of 28.1g worth an estimated street value of R100 000. The drugs were seized and three men aged 28, 34 and 46 were arrested.

V Beacon Valley: On Tuesday 1 May at 21:38, Mitchell’s Plain police were busy with crime prevention duties in Anna Marie Drive when they searched a 40-year-old man and 24-year-old woman. Police confiscated a Taurus .38 special revolver with the serial number filed off, containing six .38 special rounds. Police also confiscated 13 full mandrax tablets, five half mandrax tablets and 30 units of Tik. Both suspects were arrested for the possession of drugs, an illegal firearm and the possession of ammunition.
