V Southfield: Diep River police sector commanders caught a suspect shortly after a complaint was lodged with them during a crime prevention patrol at Southfield railway station on Tuesday 26 June at 11:30. A 22-year-old suspect had robbed a pedestrian walking past the railway station. He was trying to escape with the victim’s backpack and was found on the other side of the railway station. The backpack was returned to the victim.The suspect was arrested and charged with armed robbery. V Plumstead: Diep River Crime Prevention Unit arrested two suspects aged 33 and 54-years-old for possession of presumed stolen goods after being found with two large bags full of copper wire in Plumstead. V Constatia: Diep River police are looking for three unknown men linked to house robbery in Constantia Wednesday 27 June at 04:25. They allegedly forced open the front door to the premises and threatened the complainant with knives. They reportedly got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, cell phones and a laptop. V Southfield: Diep River police responded to a housebreaking and theft in progress in Aureole Road. On arrival at the address they found a 48-year-old suspect. According to police the suspect was already in possession various items including jewellery. He was charged with housebreaking and theft.
