V Hout Bay: Local police need help to find suspects linked to an attempted murder case. This follows after a male victim from Imizamo Yethu was found with seven gunshot wounds to his legs on Sunday 5 August. Warrant Officer Tanya Lesch, the spokesperson for Hout Bay Police Station, says the reasons for the attack are still unknown and police are investigating. “The victim was transported to Groote Schuur Hospital. It is unknown where and what happened.” Anyone with information that could help them make an arrest is urged to inform the station.

V Hout Bay: More than 20 taxis were impounded and more than R50 000 in traffic offence-related fines issued during a lockdown operation conducted earlier this month. Two arrests were made and two firearms were confiscated. Warrant Officer Tanya Lesch, spokesperson for Hout Bay Police Station, says three cordon-off, searches at taxi ranks, daily vehicle checkpoints and roadblocks were held. She says the operation was a partnership between the Public Order Policing, Flying Squad, K9, Wynberg Cluster, Traffic Law Enforcement and Metro Police.
