V Grassy Park: Police arrested three women and nine men between the ages of 26 and 40 for possession of stolen vehicles on Wednesday 10 October. According to Grassy Park police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Wynita Kleinsmith, officers followed up on information involving a stolen vehicle parked at a house in Fourth Avenue. Officers tested the registration of a white Hyundai i10 parked in the driveway and found it to be part of a hijacking case in Kirstenhof. Officers then found another car’s registration to be linked to a hijacking case in Steenberg. A third car, a blue Toyota Tazz, was found to be involved in another Kirstenhof stolen vehicle case. Kleinsmith says the cars were taken to Stikland. Anyone with information on crime can call the police on 021 700 3940 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. All information will be treated as highly confidential.
