  • Beacon Valley: Mitchell’s Plain police officers arrested a man (23) for possession of drugs. According to a media statement, officers of the Mitchell’s Plain crime prevention unit conducted crime prevention duties on Tuesday 10 September at about 17:05. They executed a search warrant at a house in Rambler Street, Beacon Valley. “While searching the premises, police found 10 mandrax tablets and 20 stops of dagga,” the statement said.

  • Beacon Valley: Police arrested a 40-year-old man for possession of mandrax and ammunition on Tuesday 10 September at about 19:35. According to a statement, the Mitchell’s Plain crime prevention unit officers received information about drugs being kept at a premises in Korfbal Street in Beacon Valley. Police found 60 mandrax tablets, four .45 live rounds of ammunition and eight rounds of .22 live ammunition. The man faces a charge of possession of mandrax and ammunition and was expected to appear in court on Wednesday 11 September.
