Cross remembers forced removals

2017-06-06 06:00

With Heritage Day approaching in September, and former residents from Simon’s Town commemorating 50 years of the forced removals from the area.

I have to say that the cross that was erected above Waterfall is a beautiful symbol.

Many people and churches fought against apartheid and the forced removals and the erected cross is a beautiful symbol.

The way the cross stands overlooking the town, but also facing towards where Luyolo Location was, is amazing.

I am sure not many people that moved into this historic town know the history of the town and it’s history of these forced removals.

It makes you feel that you are not forgotten.
