2018-02-20 06:00

It is rare to find an opportunity to view almost all aspects of life in just one play, so you should not miss the chance to see the screening of documentary Unrest on Wednesday 28 February.

The ME/CFS Foundation South Africa will hold a screening at Christ Church Where is this? Suburb? in Kenilworth from 18:30. Tickets are R100.

The screening has a double purpose: To raise funds for the foundation as well as raising awareness about a rare health condition, chronic fatigue syndrome.

The documentary promises you equal parts of medical mystery, science lessons, political advocacy introduction and love story as it portrays life of 28-year-old Jennifer Brea.

This young woman was working on her PhD when she experienced a mysterious fever that left her bedridden and looking for answers just few months before tying the knot with the love of her life.

That is when she gave birth to the idea of filming Unrest.

According to the statement, the screening will enhance public knowledge of this little known disease, mobilize the patient and community, encourage empathetic care from medical practitioners, and encourage more research about this disease.
