Exploring life’s story

2016-05-17 06:00

Live music, dance and visual effects will be combined to take the audience on a captivating journey when Remission comes to the GrandWest Grand Arena this weekend.

Billed as a journey from the beginning of creation to the fulfilment of time, the touring musical production will be staged by Breeth Productions in the Grand Arena on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May where hip-hop and rap will meet orchestral sounds and choirs.

All songs are original and the brain child of songwriter, composer, session guitarist, vocalist, arranger and studio producer Fabrizio Morgia, who has been releasing music since the late ’80s before forming the band FM Train in 1999.

He now works mainly on his production company, based in Gordon’s Bay, using creative communities and the arts to get actively involved in communities.

Remission features Zayo Griffiths, formerly known as Zandro Griffiths when she performed with the groups CVZee and Major Playaz, along with rapper Stax.

Remission is not only a fusion of styles but an awesome ‘pay it forward’ event,” Fabrizio says.

“In societies where drugs, abuse and crime is in the order of the day, we need to take hands in standing up by imparting life values and life changing events.”

With this in mind he says the production speaks truth about life and the belief that a message of forgiveness can bring change in communities plagued by these issues.

“Change starts from within, and our communities can only change once the hearts of the people has changed for the good.”V Tickets cost between R150 and R225 from www.nuelight.co.za. Visit www.breethproductions.co.za for more about the show.
