Business owners and residents of Kenilworth are urged to urgently fill in the survey forms to speed up the process of application for the Kenilworth Community Improvement District (CID).

The district is currently in the applicaiton process and has been proposed by the Kenilworth Village Residents’ and Business Association.

The closing date for the application is tomorrow, Wednesday 20 December.

If you have not received the forms that were sent to all property owners in the area via email, you are advised to contact survey@

Improvement district committee member Henk Egberink says: “After council approved the wording of our survey, we need owners to fill in these surveys and return them to us before the deadline.

“We will then analyse the completed surveys to allow us to prepare a business plan.”

The proposal to establish the CID was tabled at a general meeting held in October where residents voted for the idea and an application was immediately submitted to the City of Cape Town.

People’s Post earlier reported on the plan (“Plans to improve”, People’s Post, 31 October).

The CID is expected to stretch along Main Road from Wetton Road/Riverstone Road to Harfield Road.

It will also be bounded by the railway line and Tennant Road.
