Member of provincial parliament, Ricardo MacKenzie, visited four schools on Monday last week ahead of the official start of the 2018 matric examinations.

“I visited Portland High, Oval North High, Tafelsig High and AZ Berman High to see preparations for [the exams]. I was pleased to hear after speaking to the principals that all is on track. I was also pleased to see the police doing their rounds and visiting schools. I would like to encourage all parents to work with their learners and encourage them to study,” he says. “Matric is a very important year and the exams are very stressful. As neighbours and communities and parents and uncles and aunties, let us provide support and motivation where we can to ensure a successful matric for all learners.”
