Fireworks are good, clean fun

2018-11-20 06:01

Agi Orfanos’ letter (“Fireworks boost income, tourism”, People’s Post, 13 November) is so welcome as I am sick and tired of all this nonsense about fireworks being so frightening for
animals.I come from a family of four children who had parents who always loved to join in the fun of Guy Fawkes Bonfire Night and all the excitement it entailed. We never once had an incident with our pets and nor did any of our neighbours. Now we have no problems either. It’s strange that frightened pets are never witnessed in Dubai, Japan and China – to mention a few massive countries – who have no problem with the noise of fireworks.Gather yourselves together and have a hard think as Agi advises. My son needs the go-ahead as he makes huge revenue with his DJing business, and always lights up the sky at midnight on 31December/ 1 January.
