Engelke Flowers in Lansdowne was hit by armed robbers earlier today (19 May).

Philippi police spokesperson, Captain Lance Goliath, says five suspects robbed the store and made off with R100 000 in cash, a Volkswagen Caddy, cellphones and a shotgun and ammunition from the safe.

Goliath says the Caddy had a tracker and was recovered in Brown’s Farm shortly after the robbery.

He says no shots were fired and nobody was injured in the incident. Police are now looking for four men, who were armed with handguns and one female suspect.
