Free music concerts at the Waterfront

April promises to be a fun month for patrons of the V&A Waterfront for the Summer Sessions brought to you by motor giant Mercedes-Benz.

Every Saturday, the Waterfront Ampi-theatre offers free live music experiences for everyone to enjoy.

Acts like the rock band Brynn and The Delft Big Band will be some of the entertainers of the month.

The Delft Big Band will entertain the crowd on Saturday 13 April at a free concert from 19:00.

Launched in 2008, the band is made up of 17 musicians and two vocalists.

They have performed internationally at the Liverpool Brouhaha Festival, and the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival.

They also put on an outstanding performance at the 2015 Cape Town International Jazz Festival.

On Saturday 20 April, multi-award winning saxophonist and composer Abraham Mennen will entertain the crowd with his eclectic brand of Jazz.

The Meander Big Band Orchestra will finally close off the series on Saturday 27 April when they perform the most popular pop songs. The orchestra comprises of 40 learners aged between 14 and 18.

All events start at 19:00.
