Free workshop for parents

Residents between the ages of 18 and 88 are invited to attend a free four-day parental training workshop at the Eastridge Baby Clinic. The sessions will be held on Monday 5, Tuesday 6, Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 November from 10:00 to 15:00. On completion, each participant will receive an accredited certificate. The programme has been funded by Unicef and the Department of Social Development and is endorsed by Grassroots. This training will focus on empowering parents. Some of the topics will be dealing with a child’s birth, nutrition, behavioural problems, family, schooling, death and constitutional rights.
