Louisa Williamson, chairperson of the Rosebank Neighbourhood Watch, says the radios will come in handy to increase communication among each other instantly. This will improve vigilance.

She says they previously used WhatsApp groups to communicate which was not as fast as radios will be.

Ruby Bunn of the U-Watch says it will be easier for them to quickly respond to incidents and successfully catch suspects.

“For instance, in most cases suspects run towards Observatory and we would sometimes lose them during the chase but now we will be able to alert everyone and block their way.”
