From pillar to post

2017-05-23 06:00

For the past five months my wife has been walking our foster child to Levana Primary School and used Wicht Court in Lavender Hill as a shortcut.

She noticed that a water meter was leaking and alerted me.

I went on Saturday 13 May and met with the court committee, who to my amazement said the meter had been leaking water for the past almost five years and they had a few reference numbers to support their claim.

It took me a few minutes to report the problem and it has been sorted out almost immediately.

What I picked up was that some of the officials are sending the people from pillar to post without sorting out the real problem.

Even the councillor of the ward did absolutely nothing, but when it comes to voting time then the promises fly around in the courts. I’m an independent community worker who is there for my people in my ward.
