Manenberg and Gugulethu Women for Change sacrificed a portion of their Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) stipend to cater to and entertain elderly residents from Gugulethu last month.

Excited guest were treated to warm meals, inspirational talks and fun-filled entertainment.

Councillor Siyabulela Mamkeli says: “I really take my hat off to these extraordinary ladies. I danced with the elderly too.

“Women for Change is Mayor Patricia de Lille’s legacy project, restoring dignity to the poor majority of City of Cape Town citizens, especially the vulnerable of the society. We are going to make this great city even greater.”
