Bouncy balls, hula hoops and bowling were just some of the fun activities enjoyed by the children of Mini Footsteps Kindergarten at an annual fun day on Wednesday last week.

The children, along with their parents, participated in the annual sports and fun day at the Swartklip Sports Field.

The event has been taking place for the last three years.

Principal and founder, Ursula Peters, says she loves seeing the children having fun.

“I plan the sports day every year and it is supported by Come and Play. It is a privilege to make a child happy. I do this as it makes me more than happy to see our children having fun and their faces lighting up with smiles,” she says.

The sports day included sack races, teacher races, parent races, scooter racing, bowling, a relay and much more.

The ECD centre also recently moved to accommodate more children.

“We have moved from Paulsberg Road to Slangkop Crescent for more children and can now accommodate 50 children,” she says.

With the move comes the addition of extramural classes and activities, including swimming, Xhosa, music and computer classes.
