Ommiedraai and Friends Athletic Club (AC) held their annual road race on Sunday 8 September in Kenilworth.

According to club officials, more than 2 500 runners took part in the 10km run and walk and a 5km fun run.

Local athletes and novices came out in their numbers to support the event which meandered its way through the streets of Kenilworth and Wynberg.

For many, the race was used as their final preparation run for the Cape Town Marathon, which takes place in the city on Sunday 15 September.
