The Strandfontein AFC are promoting health while raising funds.

The club hosted a mini tournament and family fun day where parents could braai or picnic while watching the children play 20 minute games at the Strandfontein Sports Field on Sunday. Funds raised will go toward the club’s junior presentation and any junior needs, including first aid kits following serious injuries endured by the Little Seagulls during the past month.

The event started at 12:00 with six-a-side matches and featured teams in age groups from u.6 to u.18 participating on the day.

The event was partly sponsored by Quality Beverages–Jive and Thorp Chevrolet in Claremont.
