Get kids into history this holiday

2017-07-11 06:02

The Muizenberg Historical Conservation Society will be keeping children busy this holiday, with a programme including quizzes and adventure walks.

Under the guidance of Moira Mahon, a registered guide and member of the society’s board, the society is sponsoring a series of adventure walks to stimulate interest among the young in the history of the area.

The free walks take place on Wednesdays, starting at Het Posthuys at 11:00 and lasting two hours.

Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult.

The walks will include the site of the Battle of Muizenberg, Het Posthuys and the place where the first airmail delivery took place.
