Get your art on Thursday

Art is out and about in Observatory when the year’s first Art Thursday in Obs event is hosted.

This monthly initiative happens on the second Thursday of each month with venues hosting solo and group exhibitions. There will also be music performances, visual performances and arts and crafts on sale.

This Thursday’s event will be showcasing works by Busiswa Mazwana, Caitlin Mkhasibe, Wandie Mesatywa, Kilford Cement, Adam Lombard, Byron Berry, Kevin Prinsloo, Simone de Beer with performances by Mike Gwenyambira, Orah and the Kites and the experimental sound group Morning Pages.

Participating venues include the Drawing Room, Café Ganesh, Dukes and the Dolls, Touch of Madness, SP#CE, Newtown, Eat on Main and Mimi’s Eatery.

Maps to the event, which starts at 18:00, can be collected at Trenchtown, 92 Station Road.
