Following their graduation from a skills development programme, the Ward 78 hairdressers gave back to the seniors of a Westridge home.

On Tuesday 31 May the team (“A cut above the rest”, People’s Post, 31 May) visited Yvonne Parfitt Senior home in Westridge to pamper the senior citizens.

A total of 10 hairdressers and 5 carers were sent to the resident’s homes to do the hair and feet in the comfort of their homes.

The group was well received and the seniors were overwhelmed to see a group of youth that not only visited them but pampered them.

Resident Bonnie Daniels conveyed her sincerest thanks to ward councillor Eddie Andrews and the team for organizing the pampering session and said that she was literally overwhelmed at the generosity and thoughtfulness.

Andrews thanked the team for availing themselves and mentioned there would be more such events in the future.

The events would also afford the graduates the opportunity to improve their hairdressing skills.
