LETTER: Great work, Grassy Park hospital staff

2016-02-16 06:00

I would like to express my gratitude to and respect for the staff of Grassy Park Day Hospital.

I had to attend the hospital for two consultations on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 February.

On both occasions staff conducted themselves in a manner more than fitting. They dealt with me speedily, professionally and respectfully.

Special thanks to Sister Fataar, Dr Labuschagne and Sisters Mentor, Geduld and Collins.

I understand that resources are at times short and so often services are inadequate. People are often forced to work under trying conditions.

There have also been so many instances where the sick do not get treated by caring or considerate health workers. It is for this reason that I deem it necessary to give credit where it is due.

Thanks once again to the staff of the Grassy Park Day Hospital and may you continue treating your patients with the dignity and kindness I have had the privilege to enjoy.

Bernard Booth, Grassy Park
