Have respect for your neighbours

2019-04-09 06:00

It was an honour to see the youth of Pandora Road, Woodlands grow up into adulthood and watch them play soccer and cricket. You have caused a lot of damages to properties breaking windows but with respect you replaced them all.

However, somehow along the line you have lost it again. You come from your parties with your friends from other neighbourhoods at midnight playing your music at top volume disturbing the neighbourhood’s peace. Some of us are no longer young, do you ever think of the working parents, the sick senior citizens and the church goers. If any neighbour wants to have a party the community won’t object but you can’t be selfish and play your music from 15:00 on a Saturday non-stop till Sunday evening 22:00 or 23:00.

I am urging the community to take initiative and not tolerate this type of disrespectful behaviour. Let’s stand together. We cannot rely on the law enforcement officers that stays next door, or community workers to do things for us.
