Have your say in survey

2018-10-23 06:00

The Cape Town Central City Improvement District (CCID) has launched its sixth annual Online Residential Survey and is calling on all CBD residents to make their voices heard to create the downtown lifestyle they wish to see.

Residential communities make up a very important sector of a vibrant CBD, the organisation says in a statement.

“Therefore, what they think of their urban environment, how they interact with it and what they think they would like to see added, is vital to ensuring that downtown residents indeed stay downtown.”

The CCID has been conducting annual online residential surveys since 2013 with people living in the CBD and its surrounding areas.

The 2018 Online Residential Survey has just been launched, and the CCID is calling on all residents in the Central City to give feedback.

By doing so, they also stand the chance to win one of three cash prizes.

The survey will run until Friday 16 November, says CCID CEO Tasso Evangelinos.

“Tell us what you do or don’t like about living in or close to Cape Town’s traditional CBD. The survey only takes only around 10 to 15 minutes to complete but the information we gleam from it contributes year-round to helping us to best serve people living, working, studying or playing in the CCID’s footprint.”

According to the CCID communications manager, Carola Koblitz, each survey completed is confidential and the information received overall is collated, analysed and then repurposed for a variety of reasons.

“We not only feed the results back to our own operational departments – Safety and Security, Urban Management and Social Development – but we also release the overall analysis to the media and use it in our annual investment guide, The State of Cape Town Central City Report. We know for a fact that the results are often scrutinised, for example by prospective retailers looking to enter the Central City market and who use the survey to identify gaps.”

V The survey is currently accessible online and will be open until end of business on Friday 16 November. To participate, visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/CCIDSurvey2017.
