Heavy duty trucks cannot U-turn

2018-09-25 06:01

Perhaps Eddie Andrews, Mayco member (South) could explain why the Atlantic Road railway bridge could not be lowered to overcome the heavy duty vehicles from getting stuck continually (“Drivers kept in the right lane”, People’s Post, 18 September).

If you drove a heavy duty vehicle and realising the bridge is to low, how do you make the necessary U-turn?

You cannot, owing to the raised centre island.

To say the problem to fix is too costly is the oldest answer in the book.

Where do we go from here, Mayco member?
