Help cops to find suspect

The Mitchell’s Plain Family Violence Sexual Offences and Child Protection Unit is requesting resident’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a suspect in connection with a case of kidnapping. According to information on Friday, 29 January at about 12:50, the victim was in a taxi and when she wanted to get out at the corners of Church and Dennegeur Road, Strandfontein the taxi driver refused to stop.

The victim started banging on the door and windows, and she was told to keep quiet.

The victim continued shouting and banging on the doors and windows until the taxi guard told the driver that she was making too much noise. She was then dropped off unharmed at the library in Dennegeur Avenue, Strandfontein.

The taxi guard is described as a coloured man, brown in complexion, between 30 and 35 years old, 1.5m tall and of medium build.

V Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects is requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Paul Wolmerans on 021 376 9860 or 082 522 1066.
