Police are asking for help with two separate car thefts in Strandfontein and Mont Clair.

The car of a 24-year-old woman was stolen at Strandfontein Pavilion on Saturday last week at 01:30 when she and her friend were approached by three men who threatened them with a firearm.

One of the robbers pulled the woman out of her car and they drove off with her Toyota Yaris. The robbers also made off with the woman’s jewellery valued at R66 000.

No shots were fired.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the Strandfontein police on 021 370 1500.

Four men stole a man’s work car at gunpoint in Mont Clair on Friday last week at 21:15. They instructed the 36-year-old man to get out of his Toyota Corolla. One of the robbers was armed, but he did not fire any shots. The robbers were travelling in a white Corsa Lite with no number plates.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Mitchell’s Plain police on 021 370 1600.
