A heartsore family from Lynfrae is appealing for help in finding stolen items. The family says their house was broken in to on Monday 24 July and their daughter’s camera was stolen. Other stolen items included a tablet and three cell phones.“We are desperate to retrieve the irreplaceable photographs and we are offering a R1000 reward for their return. We appeal to anyone who may have information to contact us. Please do it for our daughter’s sake,” says one family member. “They [took] a bright pink backpack containing a blue waterproof camera with an orange floatation strap, a tablet, and three cell phones, one of which was in a pink cover.” The camera has irreplaceable photos of the girl taken during her trip to Hong Kong. She had only returned on Friday 21 July.Only the family’s domestic worker was at home when three unknown men broke in. She locked herself in the bathroom and immediately called for help after the suspects left. Claremont police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Lindile Dubeni, says a case of housebreaking and theft is being investigated. He says one suspect was arrested the same day and is still in custody.
