The Littlewood Primary School Drill Squad is urgently appealing to residents, businesses and organisations who are able to assist them in purchasing uniforms for their drill squad members.

The squad, which consists of 40 learners, will soon be competing in the Western Province Drill Exhibition. However, the team is in dire need of uniforms which are too costly for the participants’ parents to afford.

At this stage, the blazers alone cost R400. The squad also requires grey pants, boys’ school shoes and pull-overs.

The team has been training tirelessly from 15:00 to 20:00, every weekday, with their efforts paying off.

They have won the exhibitions round of the competition each year since 2014, in addition to also winning prizes for their dress code. Donations can be made to Littlewood Primary School.

The exhibition is due to take place on Saturday 3 November.

To make a donation, contact the school for further details on 081 419 0695.
